Mars Retrograde Cycle: Making the World a Better Place

Mars the planet of action turned retrograde at 6° Leo in a cycle that began at 17° Cancer in October. This cycle will last until it leaves its shadow in May of 2025. This gives us plenty of time to contemplate our final actions (Mars) in service to the whole of humanity. During this tumultuous time on planet Earth, Mars is beckoning us inward as all planetary retrogrades do. What can we do to change things for the better for us living in this material world? We know that many of our structures are breaking down and are not serving us as individuals. As we watch, what do we see? We may seem helpless to change anything, we suffer in silence. The events are too horrific to imagine!

Except, in reality we can change the world. Our world can get better as we go inward and imagine a world where things are working. Did you know that our thoughts create? Whatever we think about grows and seeps out into the world. We cannot hide from the reality of what we are seeing but we can choose to act on it differently. Mars in Leo is about the heart. The heart of the lion, so this is a good time to go within to find your own internal power and the multidimensionality of the heart. The loving heart connects us to the cosmos and its power. How would love act in this situation?

When I asked the I-Ching it answered with one hexagram, 59: Dispersion. Counseling us to dissolve all hardening feelings.  Asking us to free ourselves from the grip of our emotions by letting them drift off in the wind, or be washed by the water. We don’t want to deny these feelings and push them down but let them go. When through practice we can attain this then we can return to an unstructured, innocent and independent attitude. With this we can create a world in which we are cared for. One our heart would want for ourselves and others. This is the fastest way we can achieve our collective goals of peace on earth and liberty for all. By imagining it the best we can.

It is a practice to be able to greet all things with equanimity. Shedding the belief in victimhood and returning to the right relationship with all things. Through your internal self, you will discover what you really need and build up the strength to act on it. Through your quiet persistence, your light becomes visible. You can attract the things you need through your thoughts that they exist. There is a solution and I will find it through the power of retrograde Mars.
